Exploring Hocking Hills State Park

One of our favorite places to visit is Hocking Hills, Ohio. There is something about unplugging and spending time together, having actual conversations that are undistracted, playing board games, and spending time outside in nature that relaxes me. I had recognized that I was having a difficult time unplugging and was constantly distracted from my day to day tasks. This weekend was just what I needed to reconnect and I am grateful for the opportunity to get away, even if …

Exploring Niagara Falls

Viewing Niagara Falls at different times of the day definitely changes the mood of the experience. On my recent trip to Niagara Falls, I was awe struck at the sheer beauty and majesty of the 3,160 tons of water that flow over Niagara Falls every second. I have been to the falls before, but I can say honestly on this trip I looked at the falls differently. In the past, I took a quick photo with my phone camera and …

Lake Nakuru, Kenyan Safari

My favorite animal to see was the lion and from what I understand those sightings are rare. Below are some of my favorite pictures from the evening and morning drive through the safari. This lion was well off in the distance and just …

Ireland

To celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, we took a locally hosted rail tour through Ireland where we visited Dublin, Cork, Kinsale, Killarney and County Clare, Ireland. It was amazing to spend the week adventuring with my husband via plane, train, bus, car, horse buggy, boat and foot. We ate some amazing pub food and topped the trip off with a 5-course dinner at the Dromoland Castle. The photos in this gallery are some of the amazing sites we photographed in …

Washington, D.C. Cherry Blossoms

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom in the early spring in Washington, D.C. It was a beautiful sight with the colorful, aromatic flowers budding on the trees along the Tidal Basin and throughout the D.C. area. This was definitely a must see on my bucket list and I am so grateful that we were able to see them in person. The last two photos were taken by my son. He has an amazing eye in capturing the beauty in …
